Non Life Senior Consultant in the CEE Actuarial Team
General Description of profile of the CEE Actuarial Team:
• Team of 30 people in 7 countries (with Moscow and Prague being the key hubs)
• Deep knowledge of accounting and actuarial techniques in insurance and financial modeling
• Dedicated Centre of Excellent for risk modeling equipped with valuation, reserving, statistical and data handling software
• Part of a dedicated Solvency 2 cross-loss team of actuaries, risk managers and compliance expert operating across all European member states in CEE
• International team with local and foreign qualified actuaries (at senior level)
• Study program for enrolment with Institute of Actuaries in the UK and Risk qualifications
• Part of large network of professionals (audit, transaction services, capital market, IT, HR, tax and legal)
• Part of the Global Actuarial Leadership Team of the Company aimed at implementing a pan-European actuarial strategy to serve large international insurance companies operating cross country
• 3 members of the team are currently seconded into the Actuarial and Risk&Capital teams of the Company in London. Secondments into Moscow from other CEE countries.
Education, experience and skills requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, economics or engineering
• Qualified actuary, member of an internationally recognised Institute of Actuaries
• Strong knowledge of mathematics
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and in particular Excel 2007
• Knowledge of actuarial reserving software (any additional software for example, pricing and capital modeling preferable but not essential)
• Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Visual Basic, SQL) preferable but not essential
• Fluent in English. Russian speaker preferred.
Soft skills:
• Ability to operate in multitasking environment working in parallel on several assignments and deadlines with a sound sense for priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to flex communication style depending on audience and situation
• Flexibility and ability to work in a team to meet deadlines
• Goal oriented individual with problem solving attitude
• Willingness to travel to take part in actuarial projects and training in CEE and in Europe.
